Reading Competition Program is designed to develop the reading skills of the basic schools in the rural communities.

The objectives by which we target the achievement of this aim include;

1. to promote teaching of phonetics through provision of phonetic materials as a support to the already existing materials
2. provision of standard reading books for the rural basic schools
3. engaging the rural basic schools in periodic reading competition programs
